Extended Opening Hours

The practice provides a variety of appointments on a rolling rota basis outside normal opening hours. These appointments are intended for use by patients who find it difficult to attend the practice during our normal opening hours.

They include early morning appointments typically from 7am Monday-Friday. These must always be booked in advance.

8am - 8pm Appointments, 7 days/week

The Stockport GP Federation, Viaduct Care, offers a 7-day appointment service for GP appointments and also some nurse and healthcare assistant appointments at various locations across Stockport.

These appointments are intended for use by patients who struggle to attend their surgery during normal opening hours.

The appointments must be booked by a member of the reception team who will advise the location of the appointment at the time of booking.

The Viaduct clinician will be able to access your clinical record with your consent during the consultation.

  • GP appointments - the GP you see can manage any queries you would normally discuss with your own GP, including initiating referrals if required
  • Nurse appointments - For both technical and clinical reasons, Viaduct nurses can only see patients for NHS Healthchecks and to take swabs
  • HCA appointments - As already noted, for both technical and clinical reasons, Viaduct HCAs can only see patients to take blood samples and to carry out BP checks
  • Kingsgate House Treatment Room - These appointments are open to all Stockport - registered patients aged 18 and above and the clinicians can take bloods, checks BP, carry out ECGs, do NHS Healthchecks, carry out Eat Irrigation and some minor wound care (minor burns, skin tears, ulcers).
