Cancer Support Service
Following your recent cancer diagnosis, the practice would like to offer you support as we appreciate this time will be daunting and stressful for you and your loved ones.
Everyone’s experience of cancer is unique, but there is a range of support services and information available to help you, your family and friends during this difficult time.
For non-medical concerns or worries, it might be useful for you to make an appointment with the Practice Wellbeing and Social Prescribing team. They can:
- Provide a listening ear
- Discuss issues such as accessing medication or essential items
- Help you find further services that may be useful
You can contact reception to make an appointment with this team.
If you wish to discuss further, please call the practice to request a cancer care review. Alternatively, we will be in touch again to review at a later date.

Knowing What Questions to Ask
Macmillan can help you prepare questions for your GP, understand your treatment options, and know how to prepare for them.
Financial Help
If you're worried about paying bills, Macmillan has expert financial guides who can assist with mortgages, pensions, insurance, savings, and provide practical online advice.
Coping with Work
Work support advisers and online resources can help you talk to your employer or decide whether to continue working during treatment.
Their support line is open 7 days a week to provide confidential support for anyone living with cancer and their loved ones.
